I've had the good fortune to start chipping away at the 320 or so miles of the trail in some very pleasant and vigorous 10-mile stretches on recent weekends.
A housing project that never happened is now a terrific place to hike. Go figure.

, New York native, I spent half of my life hibernating indoors, but for the past five years I have basked in the thrilling opportunity to enjoy year round hiking on the many trails of beautiful Northern California.
