The county purchased the 823-acre Taylor Mountain property in 2006 and is working on a master plan for access by hikers, horseback riders and bicyclists. Anyone wishing to obtain a permit to explore the park needs to attend a 1-hour orientation session. Registration is required by either going to the LandPaths Web site or calling 707-524-9318.

The sessions for the permit program will be:

Saturday, Jan. 9, 11 a.m.

Monday, Jan. 18, 11 a.m.

Saturday, Jan. 23, 10 a.m.
