Matt Davis & Steep Ravine Trails, Stinson Beach

Another reprise of a hike from several months ago. But this one offered the beach in the summer. I think I was so eager to get to the beach that I felt like I was jogging through the 7 or so miles. Some tricky parts where you really have to work at climbing, and with a group, people got very spread out from each other, but it’s not a tortuous hike by any stretch. Thankfully, it wasn’t killer hot but actually pleasant. I’ve lived on the coast in a few other parts of the country and no matter how high the temperature gets, a coastal breeze is always welcome. SLB and I hung out at the beach afterwards with some of the other hikers. Too cold for swimming, but nice temp for kicking back in the sand, having some cold drinks and doing very little else.
